Italy
Kyiv, 2001
The interior of the Italica trading house was originally created as a platform for the demonstration of the best examples of furniture, plumbing, tiles, lamps, doors and other interior elements. The very name of the salon suggests that all of the above products are made in Italy. That is why the main theme of the interior of the store was Italy and everything connected with this country. The color scheme of the walls was based on two colors: deep gray and brick red. This contrasting combination favorably emphasized the light beige color of ceramic granite on the floor. The ceiling is also solved in a contrasting combination of gray in niches and white over the entire ceiling area. Some parts of the walls are highlighted by giant photographs of Italy's most famous architectural monuments. The hall of the store, which houses the security rack, is decorated with bright red mosaic, which carpet flows from the floor to the front plane of the rack and a column with the company logo. The entrances to the main trade hall of the store are decorated as stepped portals and are also lined with red mosaic with gold inserts. The part of the store where the plumbing and tiles are located is divided by decorative partitions. The products are located so that they can be seen as best as possible from the street in the long shop windows. The project was made with the participation of designer Alexander Zhuravlev.
